Linda K. Barr is of counsel to Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. She practices in Columbia as a member of the firm's Bankruptcy Team. A member of the South Carolina Bar and former chairperson of its Consumer Affairs Section, Ms. Barr is a Certified Specialist in Bankruptcy/Debtor-Creditor Law, a distinction awarded by the Supreme Court of South Carolina. Ms. Barr is the current Vice President of the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association.

Ms. Barr is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Richland County Bar Association, the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association, and the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys' Association. Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, Ms. Barr was in practice with another South Carolina law firm.

In 1994, Ms. Barr earned a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law where she was named to The Order of the Coif and held membership in the Order of Wig and Robe, and the John Belton O'Neall Inn of Court. Ms. Barr's additional degrees from the University of South Carolina include a Master of Criminal Justice, with highest distinction, earned in 1990, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, cum laude, earned in 1987.
