Lee Ann Anand is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. She practices in the Firm’s Atlanta office in the area of civil litigation with a focus on product liability litigation, toxic tort litigation, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation and business litigation. She has significant experience in cases involving complex medical and technical issues.  In recent years, her practice has also included the defense of numerous products and consumer class actions filed in both state and federal courts in various states.  These cases have included both traditional product liability claims as well as fraud, misrepresentation and various state and federal-level consumer protection statute claims. Ms. Anand actively defends and participates in trials in connection with her representation of numerous clients in Georgia state and federal courts.  Ms. Anand also manages national asbestos litigation for certain clients. In this role, she manages and oversees work done by local counsel in multiple states and advises and participates in national defense strategy and settlements.  

Ms. Anand was named a “Rising Star” in the Georgia Super Lawyers publication in 2005, 2006 and 2009.  She has been elected by members of the Atlanta Bar Association to serve on the Bar’s Litigation Section Board in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.  She is also a member of the Atlanta Bar’s Women in the Profession Section, the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, the American Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute. Ms. Anand is a 2003 graduate of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy’s National Trial Skills program. A member of the State Bar of Georgia, Ms. Anand is admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia. She has also represented clients in matters filed in state and federal courts in several other states. Ms. Anand currently serves as the Hiring Partner for the Firm’s Atlanta office. 

In 1997, Ms. Anand earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. During law school, Ms. Anand was a member of the Moot Court Board, the Intra-State Moot Court Team, and the Hulsey-Kimbrell Moot Court Team. She earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Auburn University in 1993.
