Katie E. Walter is an associate of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP with a corporate practice focused on securities, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and bank regulatory matters.

 

A member of the South Carolina Bar, Ms. Walter is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Greenville County Bar. She also serves on the board of Greenville's A Child's Haven, a specialized therapeutic treatment program for children ages 2 to 5 whose development has been delayed by poverty, neglect, and abuse. She also is an officer of the Greenville Young Lawyers Club.
 

 

Ms. Walter earned a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2006. While in law school, Ms. Walter served as an officer of the Moot Court, the Justice of Finance. In 2003, Ms. Walter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Communication Studies, magna cum laude, from Clemson University. During her studies at Clemson, Ms. Walter studied abroad for a semester at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.
