Katherine C. Gutierrez is an attorney with Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in the Greenville office. Ms. Gutierrez has a corporate practice with a focus on securities, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and bank regulatory matters.
 
Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, Ms. Gutierrez worked for a law firm in Dallas focusing on securities litigation.
 
A member of the South Carolina Bar, she is also admitted to practice in all Texas state courts and the Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of Texas.
 
In 2005, Ms. Gutierrez earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas. While in law school, she was managing editor of the Law & Business Review of the Americas journal and a member of the Barristers. Ms. Gutierrez earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, magna cum laude, in 2001 from St. Mary's University in San Antonio.
 
Ms. Gutierrez is also involved in her community. She volunteers through Child Life at the GHS Children’s Hospital.
