Jason R. Wolfersberger is of counsel to Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Atlanta where he practices in the areas of corporate law, securities, mergers and acquisitions, bank regulatory, and corporate governance matters, with a focus on financial institutions. Mr. Wolfersberger represents financial institutions and their holding companies during the organizational, capital raising and business combination process. Mr. Wolfersberger advises clients on matters related to corporate governance, securities compliance, reporting requirements, acquisitions, and equity offerings. He devotes a significant portion of his practice to counseling public companies about compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and related SEC regulations.
Mr. Wolfersberger began his legal career in 1999 in the Atlanta office of Nelson Mullins, and from 2007 to 2009 he served as the Deputy General Counsel for DataPath, Inc. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Florida Bar.
In 1998, Mr. Wolfersberger earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in 1995.
