Heather Bennett is an associate in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s Boston office who practices in business litigation and appellate law.

Ms. Bennett has experience in the state’s courts, having served as a law clerk to the justices of the Superior Court of Massachusetts, where she assisted the justices in all phases of civil and criminal litigation. Before that, she served as a law clerk at another large Boston law firm. She also has intern experience in the Essex County District Attorney’s Office and with U.S. Congressman Mike Michaud.

She earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 2008 from Suffolk University Law School, where she was a staff member and book review editor of the Journal of High Technology Law. She earned the Suffolk University Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law and an Honorable Mention in the Legal Practice Skills Oral Argument Competition. 

She earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Political Science from Bates College in Lewiston, ME, 2005. She also studied at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic, in Spring 2004.
