Dean Bunch represents car, truck, and motorcycle manufacturers and importers in civil and administrative litigation against motor vehicle dealers. In addition to representing most of the manufacturers and importers doing business in Florida, Mr. Bunch periodically conducts seminars for the industry concerning motor vehicle dealership litigation.
Mr. Bunch began practice in Tallahassee in 1976 after serving as Assistant Dean of the University of Florida College of Law and as an officer in the U. S. Army, including a tour in Vietnam.
He currently serves on the Florida Judicial Ethics Advisory Committee, which issues opinions to Florida state court judges on ethical questions. He previously served on the Florida Commission on Ethics, including a year as chair. The Commission has jurisdiction over ethical charges against all public officials and employees in the state with the exception of judges. In that capacity, Mr. Bunch sat as a hearing officer on several complex cases and authored recommended orders for adoption by the Commission. He has also served as a member and chair of the First District Court of Appeals Nominating Commission, which nominates candidates to the bench for selection by the governor, and of the Lawyers Advisory Committee appointed by the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Bunch is also recognized in The Best Lawyers in America, 2007-2011.
He earned his Juris Doctor in 1973 from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He earned a Bachelor of Science with honors from the University of Florida in 1969 and a Bachelor of Arts in 1968 from Stetson University.
