Charles ("Chuck") S. Verdin, IV, a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP resident in Greenville, practices in the areas of taxation, estate planning and corporate law. Mr. Verdin is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate and in Taxation Law, distinctions awarded by the South Carolina Supreme Court. 

Mr. Verdin has extensive experience in the areas of business planning involving the use of limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and corporations; franchising of businesses; complex income, estate and gift tax planning; asset protection planning; trust and estate administration; and the representation of businesses and individuals in regard to federal, state, and local tax controversies.

A certified public accountant in South Carolina and a member of the South Carolina Bar, Mr. Verdin is a member of the American Bar Association and the Greenville County Bar Association.

Mr. Verdin earned a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1996. During law school he was a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe, and he served as research editor of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal from 1995-96. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management, magna cum laude, from Clemson University in 1991.
