Brian A. Calub is an associate in the Firm’s Columbia office who practices in the business litigation area.
Before joining Nelson Mullins, he served as a judicial law clerk in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina. He also has previous experience with two law firms in Richmond, Va., has conducted hearings for the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, and has worked as a legal assistant for the Virginia State Corporation Commission. His strong business skills also led him to previous employment as a loan consultant and as a financial and account analyst.
Admitted to practice in both Virginia and South Carolina, Mr. Calub received his Juris Doctor in 2001 from the University of Richmond T.C. Williams School of Law, where he served as business editor for the Richmond Journal of Global Law & Business. He also is a recipient of the CALI Award for excellent achievement in the study of tax policy. Mr. Calub earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Richmond E. Claiborne Robins School of Business in 2001. He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance in 1997 from the University of South Carolina.
