Blakely Kiefer is of counsel in the Raleigh office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough where she practices in the areas of healthcare law, administrative law, and business litigation.  She is admitted to practice in North Carolina, California, and Louisiana as well as before the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana. 

Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, Ms. Kiefer practiced with law firms in California, Louisiana, and North Carolina where she handled a broad range of complex litigation matters.  Ms. Kiefer has represented clients in federal and state courts on matters involving business litigation, pharmaceutical product liability, real property litigation, breach of contract, and employment discrimination. Ms. Kiefer has represented clients in alternative dispute resolutions in both mediation and arbitration.  

Ms. Kiefer is a member of the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, the California State Bar, and the Louisiana State Bar Association. 

She earned her Juris Doctor in 2001 from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, where she was a member of the Moot Court.  She received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1996 from Furman University in Greenville, S.C.
