Mr. Bobo is the author of "Edmonds v. Compagnie Generale Translantique: The Supreme Court Sets a Course in Third-Party Litigation Under the Longshoremen's and Harbor Workers Compensation Act", 31 S.C. L. REV. 1699, 1980. Mr. Bobo is a member of the American Bar Association, the Charleston County Bar Association, and the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys' Association. Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, Mr. Bobo practiced in real estate, banking, and corporate law with another leading South Carolina firm. He served as a lieutenant on active duty with the U.S. Navy from 1972-77.

In 1979, Mr. Bobo earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law where he was a member of the Order of Wig and Robe. Mr. Bobo earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1972.
