Andrea St. Amand is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Charleston.  Ms. St. Amand handles a wide range of complex business litigation matters, concentrating on financial and accounting fraud.  Ms. St. Amand routinely represents companies and individuals in cases involving allegations of improper conduct in business transactions, including claims of securities fraud, Ponzi schemes, false or misleading promotion of financial products and tax shelters, misrepresentations, bad faith, tortious interference with contractual or economic relations, unfair trade practices, breach of fiduciary duties and breach of commercial contracts, shareholder and partnership agreements.     

Ms. St. Amand has worked with the United States Bankruptcy Trustee to pursue fraud claims and offshore assets in international jurisdictions and has worked with a white collar criminal team defending executives and management of a publicly held company.

Ms. St. Amand is a member of the South Carolina Bar and is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States District Court of South Carolina.

Ms. St. Amand earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Chicago Law School in 2001, and a Bachelor of Arts in English, magna cum laude, from the College of Charleston in 1996.
