Tai Hyun Shin (Alex) is an attorney of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Atlanta where he practices in the areas of debt financing and restructuring and financial institutions. Mr. Shin also focuses on Korean companies in the automotive industry in connection with business organization and immigration.

Mr. Shin earned his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from Emory Goizueta Business School in May 2011. He also earned the Transactional Certificate, given to those who focus on business and transactional curriculum in the Law School. While in law school Mr. Shin was a research assistant to the Emory Law Library as well as to Professor Teemu Ruskola. Mr. Shin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia in May 2000.

Between college and law school, Mr. Shin accumulated various professional experiences, most notably working in marketing for Sony Korea Corporation. He also served in the Korean Military as a KATUSA (Korean Augmentee to the United States Army), working as a liaison soldier between the 2nd Infantry Division of the U.S. Army and the Republic of Korea Army.

Mr. Shin is a native speaker of Korean.
