Albert A. Foster is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Washington, D.C., where he practices in the areas of toxic torts, product liability and employment litigation. Mr. Foster has represented one of the world’s largest chemicals manufacturer for more than a decade in mass tort litigation. Mr. Foster is the Chairperson of the firm's Operations and Finance Committee. He is also a member of the Nelson Mullin's Special Litigation and Corporate Investigation Practice. 

Mr. Foster is a former managing partner of Dillingham & Murphy’s Washington, D.C. office, as well as a former partner of Jackson & Consumano in New York City. Mr. Foster served as a law clerk to the Honorable Fritz W. Alexander, III, in the New York State Court of Appeals. He served as assistant counsel to the New York State Department of Transportation. He also was as an associate at Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP in New York City.

Mr. Foster is admitted to practice before the United States District Court Southern, Western, and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and Northern District of Ohio, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Courts of New York State and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Foster was a featured speaker at the Minority Corporate Counsel Association's First Annual CLE Expo in Atlanta in 2002, lecturing on all aspects of reductions in force. He was a panel speaker at the DuPont Annual Legal Meeting in 2007, presenting insights regarding settlement strategy and ethics. He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York; the District of Columbia Bar Association; and the American Bar Association.

He earned his Juris Doctor from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law and Jurisprudence. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
