South Carolina's government and business communities have long collaborated to create an environment where businesses can prosper. The state's coordinated focus on business development, as well as efforts such as tort reform, immigration reform, workers' compensation reform, and lowering taxes, have made South Carolina one of the top five most 'Pro-Business States,' identified by Pollina Corporate, for the past four years. The state was also ranked fifth among the 'Most Dynamic States for Entrepreneurs' by Entrepreneur magazine.
